We had the idea for Dirty Coast when we realized that there were very few well designed and interesting shirts that dealt with New Orleans. Go figure a city with 2-million t-shirt shops in the French Quarter and none of them were worth wearing.
Then after a few months of coming up with designs and getting things rolling Katrina happened and things got interesting. Suddenly everyone was making New Orleans oriented t-shirts. Some good and some so bad they reach the point of being great.
We hope you dig the designs, the humor, the commentary, etc. And thanks for the visit and support.
We print all our shirts the minute you order them with our friends at La Chiva Printing on Tchoupitoulas Avenue. All shirts are printed on American Apparel and use Lead-Free Inks.
The company is run by the Head Coasters Patrick and Blake. We are small and streamlined to say the least.
Some folks are talking about us, to us and around us.
We are big fans of what the Stay Local Non-profit has been doing since its very early beginnings. They recently interviewed Blake about the beginnings of the Dirty.
