Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans
EPNO uses the giving circle model to bring together individuals in the Greater New Orleans region to collaboratively and collectively make changes in their communities by learning and giving together. Each EPNO class is comprised of five smaller group-or giving circles-that help to build participants' skills and knowledge base in philanthropy and issues impacting the community. Members of the EPNO class attend a series of educational sessions, with topics such as "Grantmaking 101," and get the opportunity to learn from expert guest speakers from the community.
Together We Give
Each year, EPNO engages a new class of members in a high-engagement six-month program to learn about philanthropy and give back to the New Orleans community. Each member contributes $500, which EPNO then matches dollar for dollar through outside sponsorships and alumni contributions. Grants are awarded for New Orleans area nonprofits focused on Human Rights & Justice, Arts & Culture, Healthcare, Housing, and Environment.
