The City Shuffle
Sure, you live in New Orleans, but how well do you know the city? Test your knowledge against other locals while collecting places, originals, icons and pest cards specific to the city. Like living here, there will be challenges, setbacks and laughs. First player to collect all categories wins bragging rights. Sorry, keys to the city not included.
OBJECT OF THE GAME:
OBJECT OF THE GAME: Collect 4 or more cards of one suit to make a set. The winner is the player who collects 1 set of each suit first.
If you reach the end of the deck, the players count the cards in their collected sets. The player with the most cards wins.
TO START:
Each player gets 7 cards. The deck is placed in the center and one Suit card is placed face up next to the deck to start “The Pothole.” All Action and Challenge cards go to “The Burn Pile” during play. The person newest to the city starts the game.
TAKE A CARD:
During each turn, players may take the top card from the “The Pothole” or from the deck. You cannot take from “The Burn Pile.”
PLAY SUITS:
If a player has 4 of any suit in their hand, they can lay them down to play them during their turn. If a player has more cards matching a suit they have already played, they can add to that set. This clears more cards from their hand.
DISCARD:
Every player must discard one card with each turn. Suits go to "The Pothole." If it is an Action or Challenge card, follow the directions on the card and remove the card from the game by adding to "The Burn Pile."
LEVEL UP:
The player must then take cards from the deck to level back up to 7 cards. This then ends their turn.
OPTION:
Want to keep playing? If the deck is exhausted the players can choose to shuffle "The Pothole" and use it as the deck.
