The best New Orleans corporate gifts are things a client will actually use and a coworker will actually wear, with something specific to the city built in. Skip the logo stress ball. Send a deck of cards with Black Masking Indians on the face cards, or a shirt your team will still be wearing next Jazz Fest.
The holiday party always sneaks up on somebody. Here's how we'd think about it.
Why Local Gifts Land Better
A generic gift says "we have a budget." A local one says "we thought about you." When the gift comes from New Orleans, it also carries a little of the city's reputation for knowing how to throw a party, which never hurts a client relationship.
The trick is picking things people keep. From what we see behind the counter, the gifts that get used are the ones that live in a kitchen or a coat pocket, not on a desk.
For Clients
Think of the client who has everything, including a drawer full of branded water bottles. Give them something that belongs on a counter at home.
The New Orleans Playing Cards give each suit a piece of local culture, and they come out every time the family plays cards over the holidays. The Coffee & Beignet Candle burns for around 40 to 50 hours and smells like a morning in the Quarter.
For the client who loves to eat, The Po'Boy Patent Print goes on the kitchen wall and tells the story of a sandwich that, according to 64 Parishes, was invented in 1929 to feed striking streetcar workers. That's a decent conversation starter for a business relationship. Send them to our local's guide to po-boys for the next time they're in town.
If you want ideas that aren't ours, a membership to WWOZ, the city's community radio station, puts New Orleans in someone's ears every day. It pairs well with anything we sell.
For Conventions and Visiting Groups
New Orleans hosts a lot of meetings. A September 2026 release from New Orleans & Company lists major conventions at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center running through December, with at least 225,000 attendees expected across the biggest events.
If you're planning a welcome bag or a speaker gift for one of those groups, think small and flat. Things that fit in a carry-on make it home. Things that are useful get kept. We'd lean on:
- Playing cards, which slide into a laptop bag
- Enamel pins and patches, for a lanyard or a backpack
- A silicone pint like The Fairgrounds Go-Cup, which comes with a built-in lesson in New Orleans go-cup culture
- Koozies, because every visitor will need one by day two
What we'd skip: anything with "Big Easy" on it, plastic beads in July, anything that needs ironing, and anything that won't make it through airport security. Our post on New Orleans souvenirs that are not embarrassing has the longer version of that argument.
For Your Own Team
Your staff doesn't want another fleece vest with the company logo. They want a shirt they'd wear on a Saturday.
Our Wholesale page says our shirts, current and retired designs, are available for wholesale, and that we can create custom backs for an event or a restaurant. Our Make It Your Own page explains the idea: a Dirty Coast design on the front and your custom design on the back, like the A side and B side of an old 45. The page pitches it to bands, bar staffs, weddings and restaurants, and even an oyster bar in Montana.
That's a better company shirt than most, because the front is something people already like wearing. Your logo rides along on the back.

Picking the Right Design for a Company
A few guidelines from twenty years of printing shirts about this city:
Match the design to the crowd. A law firm and a bar staff are not wearing the same shirt. River. Lake. Uptown. Downtown. works almost anywhere, because everyone in town gives directions that way.
Pick something that starts a conversation. The best gift shirts get a "where'd you get that?" from a stranger.
Don't get too inside. If your client is in Chicago, a joke about a specific pothole on Magazine Street might need a footnote. Save that one for the local office.
Order early. Custom printing takes time, and so does shipping in December. The earlier you reach out, the more we can do.
When You Just Need Gifts, Fast
If a custom order isn't the right fit, our New Orleans gifts and goods collection has plenty that works for clients off the shelf. You can also come by our shops on Magazine Street or Chartres Street, tell us who you're shopping for, and we'll help you pull it together.
