My dad passed away right after Ida. A big blue heron started showing up in my brother's backyard shortly after. He comes and visits almost daily, standing under a cypress tree and appearing to be deep in thought. The Blue Heron symbolizes being calm, presence, being at peace, uniqueness, and balance. He's just who we needed to see. I bought this pin for my brother to wear on his white coat (he's a dr.) at work, and to hopefully bring him peace and calmness while trying to save people's lives. The pin is beautiful and well made.
