Planting The Seeds For A Better Tomorrow
Sustainable Harvest International (SHI) partners with farming families in Central America to improve their well-being through long-term technical assistance in regenerative agriculture. With the support of local field trainers, partnering families adopt practices that restore soil health, protect biodiversity, and halt tropical deforestation. They're drawing down carbon from the atmosphere, regenerating their land, and protecting vulnerable ecosystems, all while producing an abundance of healthy and diverse food for their families and communities. Since 1997, SHI has partnered with over 3,000 farming families, reversed land degradation on 26,400 acres, and planted over 4 million trees. SHI currently has well-established programs in Belize, Honduras, and Panama, but is implementing a plan to exponentially increase its impact through replicating partnerships across the globe.
