Soul Is Waterproof Jamaica : Tallawah

Rooted in a strong sense of community following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Dirty Coast is no stranger to fundraising or sharing resources in the wake of disasters effecting our neighbors and beyond. The humble t-shirt has been our vehicle that has allowed us to raise money along with awareness for many causes over the years. 

“Tallawah” is a Jamaican Patois word meaning strong, fearless, or strong-willed and is often used to express that someone or something is not to be underestimated. It embodies the Jamaican concept of being “likkle but wi tallawah” (small, but strong).

A portion of proceeds from our Soul Is Waterproof Jamaica shirt will donate directly to The United Cajun Navy.

The United Cajun Navy mission is to swiftly and effectively mobilize volunteers and resources to areas affected by natural disasters, ensuring that those in need receive timely assistance. The volunteers of the United Cajun Navy come from diverse backgrounds, united by a common goal of helping others in times of crisis.
