The Debris Ep. 2: "Green Dot"

A PODCAST SERIES PRODUCED BY WWNO
with help from Dirty Coast Press

Katrina: The Debris, Episode 2, "Green Dot." The first map to rebuild New Orleans after the 2005 flood included half a dozen Green Dots, places where homes and businesses would give way to green space, shrinking the city. Actor Wendell Pierce recalls seeing the map: "One of the most visceral reactions to an image that I can recall." That plan didn't fly. To say the least. We hear from the neighborhoods of New Orleans East and Broadmoor, two "green dot" areas from back then, on how things are now.
